There is no shortage of young people who can attend the mini soccer sessions at the Hartford campus of Mid Cheshire College, as the village of Hartford is renowned for having an equal number of people studying in the area as it does residents.
Around 9,000 further education students attend the college, but the venue opens its doors to five- to twelve-year-olds for weekly kids’ Mini Soccer football sessions in Cheshire run by Little Sports Coaching.
Mini Soccer in Northwich is a great opportunity for young people in the area to learn more about the game of football and to develop a whole range of other skills that will benefit them in their lives beyond the soccer pitch.
The sessions are an excellent choice for the many children in Cheshire who have been caught up in the football-loving atmosphere of the area, but even youngsters who have not yet been bitten by the soccer bug can have fun and learn new skills by attending the weekly schools.
The sessions are run by qualified FA coaches, experienced in working with young people and are specifically tailored to meet the needs of children from the age of five to twelve.
The number of players on each team are kept low to keep the action flowing and to allow the youngsters to experience as many different positions and learn and improve at as many skills as possible.
Drills help to instil an appreciation of the need to be disciplined and to practise and train if the youngsters want to succeed, whilst a host of fun activities work on building up everything from a child’s confidence to improving social skills, spacial awareness and gross motor skills.
Most of all, the sessions, which last up to two hours and begin and end with small-sided games, are designed to be fun. The children who take part inevitably learn a whole host of personal, social and footballing skills, but most do this whilst simply taking part in activities that they love.
The Little Sports Coaching Mini Soccer Centres are ideal for both boys and girls and offer a friendly environment where youngsters can spend time with other children they know or make new friends.
Children of all ages, abilities and personalities are welcomed, and every youngster is nurtured to achieve the best results.
