Your local junior football club, ran by professionals
The club was set up in 2008 for the sole purpose of developing the more talented players from our soccer schools in an environment where they could be kept engaged and challenged whilst still enjoying the many benefits the beautiful game brings.
In 2013 FC Sports was awarded ‘Charter Standard’ status by The FA, this kite-mark recognises the standards of specifics such as training facilities, coaching standards, policies, procedures and much more. Here at LSC we pride ourselves on our reputation for professional sports development, so for this reason the majority of our players have been handpicked from one of our many schools or academies.
U6s training sessions
Each year we have the privilege of putting together new teams of children in Reception and Year 1 to start their journey in junior football.
Led by qualified UEFA football coaches, this programme aims to develop the skills of younger children and build their confidence to play for a team in a competitive game.
FC Sports will arrange for competitive games as the children develop. If you choose to join the team following the free launch sessions, payments are made via monthly direct debit.
Equal Playing Time
Playing the best players in order to win a game is not something we believe in for grassroots football. We strive to ensure FC Sports players receive equal playing time over the course of each game/season.
A team for all abilities
We NEVER say no to players wanting to play football as long as there is space, but we also feel strongly about players being placed in to suitable ability groups to enable development both physically and mentally.
We have several teams at every age group with a wide variety of abilities, we will find the right level for each child.
Development over results
Our No 1 priority is developing our players, not just technically but socially, emotionally and physically. We will NOT put results over developing these areas in any of our teams.

Non league parent club
Cheadle Town Football Club are a community club based in Cheadle, South Manchester. The club was formed in 1961 and in 2018 was acquired by The Little Sports Group.
The acquisition of Cheadle Town meant when players finished their season at u16s, they could continue to play and develop into youth league football at Cheadle Town. FC Sports gained a senior team to feed into, and Cheadle Town gained junior set up with hundreds of potential future players!
In 2018 Cheadle Town played their first ever game FA Youth Cup game fielding a team who had just that season moved from FC Sports u16s, a group who were the very first FC Sports team who started as u8s in 2008. The following year the same group went one round further in the FA Youth Cup, as well as winning a league and cup double.
FC Sports and Cheadle Town are proud to see groups of young footballers not only stay together as junior and youth teams, but also have the opportunity to move straight into a non league football club to continue their football journey and compete for their place in semi pro football.
Another first for the club in 2020 saw the formation of a senior women’s team, Cheadle Town Stingers, as we continue to create opportunities for all our young footballers.
Off the field benefits
Not only does FC Sports benefit from the use of a brilliant facility at the home of Cheadle Town, Park Road. Players can get free entry to any home game, and may even represent the club as a mascot!
