FC Sports U10s player signs for Manchester United
At FC Sports our mission is to see young footballers play, progress and enjoy their game. In addition we also get the opportunity to see that progression turn into something we can really celebrate and Lori is a great example.
Lori started on the LSC pathway at our Tots FC programme at the age of 3 at our Wilmslow Leisure Centre venue, where her bright smile and love for football melted the hearts of our coaches Dan & Naomie. Like every child at Tots FC she will have spent each session with a ball at her feet for the majority of the time and through our cleverly built sessions she will have developed essential skills such as agility, balance, co-ordination. Add in the fun environment which our coaches create and she picked up great social skills and furthered her love for the game as well.

Lori very quickly moved into our junior football club FC Sports in our U6s group for school year 1 aged children. At this age the groups don’t enter a league like all other ages at FC Sports, but instead work on preparing them for entering a competitive environment the year after whilst making sure their enjoyment of the game is a top priority. As she moved through U7s and U8s, her attitude and commitment to improve week by week was a huge factor in her developing rapidly whilst in the care of our brilliant coaches Andy, Ryan and Dan.
During the 2019/2020 season Lori had been training at the Manchester United development centre and has continued in going from strength to strength, improving all areas of her game as well as growing in confidence, it’s been amazing to watch! A big thanks must go to Dave for coaching Lori over the last twenty four months and a special mention is needed to FC Sports Coach Becky for all her support for Lori, who has been integral as a friend and mentor over the last twelve months.

We’re really sad to see Lori leave FC Sports but we are incredibly proud to see all her hard work over a six year period culminate in this great opportunity. The club would like to say a big thank you to Lori and her family and wish her all the best. They’ll always be part of our FC family!
