Each year we have the privilege of putting together new teams of children in Reception and Year 1 to start their football journey, and now we have our own venue as well!
FC Sports was set up in 2008 for the sole purpose of developing young footballers in an environment where they could be kept engaged and challenged whilst still enjoying the many benefits the beautiful game brings. In 2013 FC Sports was awarded ‘Charter Standard’ status by The FA, this kite-mark recognises the standards of specifics such as training facilities, coaching standards, policies, procedures and much more. The club benefits from brilliant CPD training session for team coaches, a club philosophy to teams to stay on track and a big celebration of the children’s hard work at the end of each season at our club presentation.
In 2018 LSC acquired local semi pro club Cheadle Town FC, giving FC Sports a semi pro club to feed into, a brilliant opportunity for every player at the club. In May of that year Cheadle Town was awarded a £50,000 improvement bursary from Buildbase that helped develop the facility for use by FC Sports. FC Sports players also get free admission to any home match at Park Road (under 12’s with a paying adult)! Just wear your FC Sports coat.
FC Sports u6’s training sessions will be held at Park Road, home of Cheadle Town FC on Sunday mornings from 10:00-11:00am. Starting this November.
