Get to know the coach is back! We feel that it is important for parents to know a little bit about the coaches that the children come in contact with.
This week, our focus is on our very own Liverpudlian, Eamon Buhalfaia!
Your Name: Eamon Buhalfaia
Your Age: 27
Where are you from? Wirral (Merseyside)
Area Manager: Liverpool
Main centres you are based at: ESLA and St Francis Assisi
How long have you been coaching? 11 years
Why did you become a sports coach? Because I’ve always had lots of energy, I thought I would do something to channel that energy. I also enjoy participating and coaching a variety of sports. Most importantly I am passionate about shaping children’s experiences in sport and PE through fun and learning.
Your favourite moment/feeling as a coach? Coaching my first ever Tots football session and realising how much my personality suited this particular age group. To this day I still believe I enjoy the sessions more than the children do!
What is the best advice you have ever received? “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life”
What achievement are you most proud of? Coaching thousands of children across a number of states in America. Also landing a job at Little Sports Coaching of course!
Your favourite meal? Spicy Chicken Wings.
What do you do in your spare time? Play football, running, cooking, spending time with family and friends. I am also an ambassador for a children’s charity called ‘Amy and Friends’.
Finally, why should parents use LSC? As I believe the staff at LSC are exceptional and extremely passionate about working with children. They all have a great attitude, sense of humour and vast experience in PE and Sport.
