Hello everyone, My name is Darren McKnight and I am delighted to be joining the LSC team, working as the Schools Partnership Co-ordinator alongside Lauren Brown. This is a new role within the company looking to promote LSC within new schools, maintaining and building further current relationships we have within schools.
A bit of background on myself and my career path , originally moved to England to pursue a career in professional football playing for numerous football league clubs unfortunately after 4 years in the professional game it was time to look at other career options. This lead me to go down a coaching route taking me to companies such as Manchester City in the community and Premier Sport education, gaining valuable experience within the schools sport sector as a Senior Sports Coach and as a Business Development manager.
I am really looking forward to meeting the wider team and to getting started within the LSC group to help with the vision of getting More children, More sport, More active! If you ever have any questions or anything at all please don’t hesitate to get in touch, I will be happy to help .
FUN FACT – Outside of work you can find me popping up with goals against Cheadle Town and Cheadle Nomads.
